Possible Activities as a Volunteer or Intern:

Senegal

Training & Capacity Building

  • Design and develop new capacity-building workshops & trainings.
  • Lead training activities in relevant topics – e.g. business training, permaculture, agroecology etc. (requires skills in French or Wolof).

 Partnerships & Fundraising

  • Acquire new local partners for co-implementing projects.
  • Mobilize funds and acquire new donors.
  • Draft project proposals.

Communications

  • Draft project reports, blog posts, and social media posts.
  • Produce photo and video content about our project activities.
  • Develop strategic communication campaigns to reach donors or new project participants.

Events

  • Organize a cultural activity or event (e.g. art exhibition, music event, etc.).

Italy/Remote

Partnerships & Fundraising

  • Acquire new international partner organizations in Italy or worldwide.
  • Set up a fundraising campaign.
  • Mobilize individual funds and acquire new donors.

Communications

  • Develop strategic communication campaigns to increase the visibility of Jahkarlo abroad.
  • Prepare communication material for our news section,  social media, and official communications.
  • Maintain and update our website.
  • Expand the visibility of our projects through our social media channels.

Events

  • Organize a public event to raise awareness about development challenges in Senegal and our projects.
  • Represent the Jahkarlo Assc. at fairs and other events
  • Organize small events like a sponsored run, quiz night or cake sale.
